Beauty of Lanjukang Beach

BE in the Lanjukang Island is very compassion and peaceful. Beauty of coast present in a serene atmosphere. Tourist can also enjoy the sensation of diving, snorkeling, or enjoy a typical dish of roasted fish from local residents. 


Location of Object 
Lanjukang island is located far enough from the coastal city of Makassar. This is the farthest islands in the region after Lumulumu Islan. The distance is about 24 miles (40 kilometers). 

Overview 
These islands stretching from southwest to northeast with broad reach of six hectares. It has variety of vegetation and white sandy sloping beaches. Population of the island is about 300 people. This island has long been defined as one marine tourism objects of Makassar. 

The island is surrounded by healthy coral reefs. Spread of colorful coral reefs reaches 11 hectares. Because of it, the island also became a very good habitat for variety of ornamental fish and reef fish. Really, its very nice to dive and snorkel. 

Waters around the islands is very clear. Once the crystal clear, coral reefs and colorful fish can be seen with naked eye without having to go to the water. The atmosphere is very tranquil. Only the sound of pounding waves and sound of friction leafs when its blown away. Feels peaceful. 

In the afternoon, will present views of sunset in the west coastal. The red sun slowly go down into the horizon. And immediately replaced by the silver moon. The reflection of its light create sparkling on the surface of the sea. 

In this island, there are two guests houses managed by a large hotel management in Makassar. Facilities of each rooms is good enough. Tourist can also interact with local people and enjoy their special menu, roasted fish, taro leaf vegetables, and tomato chili sauce. Nyamm... 

Access 
To go to this island, tourists can use motor boat that can be rented from POPSA pier at Ujungpandang Road, Makassar. 

The tariff is about Rp 500,000. With 100 HP motor boats, trip to the island is takes about 3-4 hours. But with 500 HP fiber-motor boat, the trip only takes one hour.
